Welcome to Lucilla Therapy!

I’m glad you are here

Hello, my name is Nina.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in California.

I specialize in doing therapy for trauma and working with Black/BIPoC and Queer clients.

I wish you the best in your journey towards healing, let’s connect‍ ‍and see if I can be apart of that journey!

Collaborative and Grounded in Identity

I believe sharing identities with your therapist can be a part of the healing process. As a Black and Latina queer woman, I have both the lived experience and training to support clients who identify as Black, POC, and LGBTQIA+.

My goal as a therapist is to collaboratively work with clients to heal from trauma and mental health concerns like anxiety, depression, personality disorders, and mood disorders.

My Approach

Tailored to you

I am an eclectic therapist, which means I pull from all the therapy styles I have been trained in to support your needs.

I am trained in EMDR (a PTSD therapy), CBT (a cognitive therapy for anxiety and depression), mindfulness, and somatic therapy (supports with physical and mental symptoms).

Together, we find what works best for you and your needs.

The Name:

Lucilla Therapy

Lucilla Therapy (pronounced: Loo-See-Ya) comes from my Grandmother, with whom I share the middle name Lucilla.

While I never got to meet her, I am inspired greatly by her love and dedication to her family and community.

In carrying her name, I also carry her legacy. This is for you Blanch Lucilla.
